When it comes to finding a unique gift for a bride and groom, cross stitch wedding patterns make for a gift that’s a wonderful choice. They serve as a beautiful reminder of this most important day in a couple’s life. Also known as marriage patterns, these works of art provide a family heirloom for the couple to pass down to their children and future generations. The theme from the marriage pattern can also be used for anniversary presents, creating a collection of cross stitch art for the couple to add to over the years.
Sampler style cross stitch wedding patterns are very popular and dominate the number of items available. Sampler patterns often have some sort of fancy border. The patterns also come complete with instructions on all the different letters of the alphabet and numbers, so that people can customize the gift for the bride and groom. Larger sampler projects will often also contain some sort of romantic quote or biblical verse as part of the design.
A considerable number of wedding patterns feature a religious theme. Scripture verses such as 1 Corinthians 13:38 and Luke 6:48 are two of the most commonly used in reference to love and marriage. Religious symbols such as the Cross or the Star of David are also common in religious themed samplers.
Many companies offer cross stitch kits with a marriage theme. Janlynn and Bucilla produce these patterns and Bucilla also cross brands some of their patterns and kits with Mary Engelbreit. Dimensions has a wide variety of cross stitch wedding patterns. Dimensions has over 20 different patterns in this theme and most of them are sold as a kit that includes the mat, threads needed and, of course, instructions for completion.
As a keen cross stitcher you are likely to have your own library of needlework books. It is worth looking through these to see if they contain any wedding patterns to cross stitch before buying something new. When you purchased the book a particular pattern may have caught your eye for a different occasion and you may not have noticed the wedding charts.
Cross stitch art can also be used for items used in the wedding ceremony, which then become cherished mementos of the day. From a monogram on the ring bearer’s pillow to a stitched handkerchief for the bride to carry, the cross stitch can be used to personalize and beautify the ceremony. Some brides even choose the beauty of cross stitch to embellish their wedding dress.
So whether you choose a sampler, a pillow for the ring bearer, a picture frame or any one of a number of other items, cross stitch wedding patterns are a wonderful piece of artwork that allows you to give a unique wedding gift that will always provide a reflective memory for the bride and groom.

Hi Brenda,
Your comment on my daughter Julia’ post has been forwarded to me. We don’t have a cross stitch pattern matching your precise requirement - sorry!
However, if you send us the picture we can create the pattern for you (probably for fr*e too).
Kind regards
